4 Remote AI Jobs at Turing This Week, From $25-an-Hour Raters to Project Leads

Turing, a San Francisco company that helps big AI labs train their models, has four remote openings this week. They range from simple rating work you can do with your phone to a senior job leading whole teams.

Here is what each job asks for, who can apply, and what to know before you do.

1. Mobile AI Rater (Android phone users)

Pay: $25 an hour, paid in US dollars.
Time: 20 hours a week, with the chance of up to 40, for 16 weeks.

You check how well AI understands everyday life, like your routines and the people you talk to, and give it a score with a short reason.

Who can apply: people whose main phone is a Google Pixel 8 or newer, running Android 17 or higher, who use the Google Messages app for their own texts. Good English is needed.

Good to know: the AI looks at some of your own data, from your Google apps and your text messages. Think about whether you are comfortable with that before you apply.

2. AI Quality Analyst (English)

Time: at least 4 hours a day, up to 40 hours a week, for 3 months. You must overlap 4 hours with US Pacific time.

You test a new feature in Google’s Gemini that uses your past activity to give more personal answers. You write your own questions, compare two AI answers side by side, and explain which one is better and why.

Who can apply: people with a degree or similar experience in fields like law, journalism, language or computer science. Strong English writing is the key skill. Past rating or moderation work helps a lot.

Good to know: you must use your own main Google account, with your Gmail, Search and YouTube history switched on for the test. Turing says shortlisted people get an interest form, then a test that must be finished within 24 hours.

3. LLM Trainer: Agent Function Calls

You help train AI to use tools and finish tasks step by step. This one suits people with some coding or tech background. Check the listing for pay and hours.

4. Project Lead: AI Training

Time: 16 weeks, five days a week (weekends may be included), 7 am to 4 pm US Pacific time.

This is a senior job. You run large AI data projects from start to finish: the team, the client, the budget and the deadlines, which are often just 24 hours away.

Who can apply: people with 7+ years of work experience, including 4+ years leading teams. Experience with data labeling or AI training is a plus.

Good to know: for India, 7 am to 4 pm Pacific time is roughly 7:30 pm to 4:30 am, so this is night work.

Before you apply

Open each listing and check the pay, hours and which countries can join, because these can change. Answer every form honestly. Turing says it picks people based on their profile and on the client’s review.
