Want to earn money from home by helping AI get smarter? You can. Lots of companies now pay real people to teach and check AI.
This page lists the platforms we trust. Pick one, apply, and start.
What is AI work?
AI tools like chatbots learn from people. They need humans to tell them what a good answer looks like.
So the work can be things like:
- Reading two AI answers and saying which one is better, and why.
- Writing hard questions to test the AI.
- Checking AI answers for mistakes.
- Using your job skills (coding, law, medicine, design, writing, languages) to make AI better at your field.
Who can do it?
You do not need to be a tech expert. You need good English (or another language), care for small details, and the patience to read rules carefully.
If you have years of work in a field, even better. Many projects pay more for real experts.
Where to apply
1. Mercor
Mercor matches skilled people with AI companies. You make a profile, do a short AI interview, and get offered projects that fit your skills. Good for professionals and experts.
2. Micro1
Micro1 finds talent for AI teams. It has roles for experts, writers, coders and language speakers. You apply to a job and talk to their AI recruiter.
3. Handshake AI
Handshake is known for helping students find jobs. Its AI program pays students, graduates and professionals to help train AI using what they know.
4. Afterquery
Afterquery works with experts to build data for AI labs. If you have deep skill in a subject, this is a good place to try.
5. Outlier
Outlier is one of the biggest AI training platforms. It has lots of projects, from simple writing and rating tasks to expert work in coding, science, law and medicine. A good place to start.
6. Turing
Turing hires people to help top AI companies build and test their models. It is great for coders, and also has roles for other experts. The tests can be hard, but the projects are often longer.
Tips to get in
- Apply to more than one. Work comes and goes. Having two or three platforms helps.
- Fill your profile fully. Add your real work history. Experience gets you better projects.
- Take the tests seriously. Read every rule slowly before you start.
- Check your email and spam folder. Invites can land there.
- Be patient. Some platforms reply in days, some in weeks.
Stay safe
Real AI platforms never ask you to pay to join. If someone asks for money for a “job” or “training kit”, walk away.
This is contract work. Pay and hours change from project to project, and no one can promise steady work. Treat it as extra income first.
